Custom Colored Hair Extensions

Are you looking to custom color your hair platinum, silver, pastel, or another vibrant color? Simply choose the lightest blonde shade of our hair extensions and either color them yourself or have your stylist color them at your appointment! Most clients and salons choose our #60 Pale Ash Blonde shade for this purpose. This shade is available in clip-in, tape-in, I-Tip, U-Tip, and Brazilian Weft extension types.

You can color just the hair extensions themselves or both your hair and the hair extensions, it's completely up to you how much or how little color you want to add!

HOW MUCH SPARKS LONG-LASTING HAIR COLOR WILL I NEED?

Depending on the length and texture of your hair, and the color you are trying to achieve, the amount of Sparks long lasting hair color needed may vary. Use the chart below as a base guide.

STEP 1

Lighten the hair using Sparks Powder Lightener and Sparks Crème Developer to a very light pale blonde, removing any yellow in the hair. Rinse with Sparks Color Care Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Protecting Conditioner. Dry Hair 100%.

STEP 2

Apply your choice of color by taking ½” sections and apply color with a tint brush from roots to ends. Process for 20 minutes without heat. Rinse hair with very cool water. Shampoo, Condition and protect your hair with SPARKS Color Care.

After hair is dry, section out hair to prepare for Glossie Hair Extensions.

EXTENSIONS: Choose the lightest shade of Glossie Hair extensions (Pale Blonde). Prepare Sparks Lightener (see how to for lightening for mixing guidelines). Apply lightener to extensions to remove any color or coating that might be on the extension to ensure an even application. Allow to process for 5 minutes.

Once processed for 5 min, rinse Glossie Hair Extensions and shampoo, and dry completely.

Select the desired Sparks color and apply to extension. Allow to process for 20 minutes no heat. Rinse, shampoo, and dry.

Once hair and extensions are completely dry. Apply extensions. Section hair to allow for proper placement. Take 1/2" section that you want to adhere the extension to and tease hair at root. This will create an anchor for the extension to be clipped onto. Clip extensions in desires area. Style as desired.

It is usually easier to apply color starting in the back of the head and working towards the front.
